How to Apply for FEMA Assistance

 

  • FEMA

    • Your Social Security number.
    • Current and pre-disaster address.
    • A telephone number where you can be contacted.
    • Insurance information.
    • Total household annual income
    • A routing and account number from your bank (only necessary if you want to have disaster assistance funds transferred directly into your bank account). Lookup your bank routing number: Search for Fedwire Participants (from Federal Reserve Financial Services). 
    • A description of your losses that were caused by the disaster.

  • Small Business Administration Disaster Loans

    • Individuals that are Homeowners and Renters must register with FEMA to obtain a FEMA Registration ID Number by calling 1-800-621-3362. The speech or hearing impaired may call (TTY) 1-800-462-7585.
    • Businesses may apply directly to the Small Business Administration for possible disaster assistance. For loan application forms see: How to Apply for SBA Disaster Loan Assistance after a Declared Disaster.
