- NJ Department of Human Services (DHS) - This Department is the largest state agency with more than 14,000 employees. DHS serves millions of New Jersey’s vulnerable children and adults through the programs administered by its eight Divisions: Addiction Services, Commission for the Blind, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Developmental Disabilities, Disability Services, Family Development, Medical Assistance and Health Services (Medicaid), and Mental Health Services.
