    • Agency Directory for New Jersey HIV/AIDS Services (from the Rutgers HIV Prevention Community Planning Support and Development Initiative) - The State’s HIV/AIDS Resource Directory lists information about New Jersey agencies that provide HIV prevention services, care and treatment, and other support services. The Directory is searchable by agency and by county.

    • AIDSinfo (from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) - This federal government site provides up-to-date information in English and Spanish on HIV/AIDS and related illnesses. The topics include guidelines for prevention and treatment for adults and children, HIV/AIDS-related drugs, clinical trials, and updates on vaccine research. The “Live Help” tab on the Web site allows you to communicate with a staff member in “real time.”

    • Discrimination Against People Living with HIV or AIDS (from the New Jersey Department of Law & Public Safety, Division on Civil Rights) - This 2-page fact sheet defines actions of discrimination and the legal remedies that are available. The site also includes contact information for its regional offices for filing complaints or for further information.

    • Federal AIDS Drug Distribution Program - This site describes the federal Ryan White Part B AIDS Drug Distribution Program (ADDP), which funds prescription and insurance programs in all 50 states for eligible people living with HIV or AIDS. It also explains how some states may operate their programs differently. The federal program is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

    • HIV/AIDS Prevention Information from the CDC (from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention/CDC) - This federal Web site contains up-to-date information and fact sheets on HIV/AIDS-related topics. It links to recent journal articles and other relevant publications as well as current key developments in the prevention and treatment of HIV and AIDS.

    • Hyacinth AIDS Foundation - Hyacinth, a statewide, nonprofit organization in New Jersey, provides education, support, and advocacy for people with HIV or AIDS. Hyacinth’s services include an information hotline (1-800-433-0254), prevention interventions, professional counseling, legal advocacy, case management, and discharge planning for HIV+ offenders re-entering the community.
